Hey there! We’re husband and wife team Nick and Frances Moffatt, illustrators and Co-Founders of The School of Illustration, and we’re here to help you live your best creative life! With a combined 30+ years’ experience in freelance illustration and higher education, we’ll be taking a deep dive into just what it takes to have a successful career as a freelance illustrator. We’ll look at everything from inspiration and motivation to business, entrepreneurship, and wellbeing, and most importantly, how to have fun and enjoy the journey.

Nick Moffatt is a cartoonist and illustrator who has returned to the world of freelance illustration after lecturing in Illustration for the past five years. With a huge love of Mid-Century design, bold no nonsense graphics and storytelling his work looks to synthesise these passions to create visually striking illustrations and narratives.
